From Academy to MNEB: Our R6 Trainees Earn a Second Division Spot

Our Rainbow Six Siege team, built around Spirit Esports academy players, has qualified for the second division of the Hungarian National Esports Championship (MNEB). BenjyAdvice, DRM4R2I and regger4 started in our programme within the Hungarian Esports Academy Network (MEAH) and secured their place in the second qualifier.

For us this is more than a successful qualifier. It shows that the academy leads into the league, and that our esports development pathway works in practice.

It did not work the first time

In the first qualifier the team lost twice: first to a far more experienced side featuring Riggo and Hollosy, then to Madman Academy. That ended their run.

They opened the second qualifier with a 7–2 win and met Madman Academy again in the upper bracket final. The best-of-three went to the decider:

• Nighthaven Labs (opponent's pick): 5–7

• Clubhouse (our pick): 7–3

• Chalet (decider): 5–7

The 1–2 loss sent them to the lower bracket, where they made no mistakes: 7–4 on Clubhouse, their own pick, and 7–1 on Border, the opponent's pick. The 2–0 win earned the MNEB second division spot.

The team that stopped them in the first qualifier needed a third map and a 7–5 to win in the second. That gap was closed in training.

What happened in training?

Preparation had three parts: map knowledge, VOD reviews, and the coach observing players during matches and reviewing it with them afterwards.

"I suggested they enter the competition. We went through a lot of theory, I helped shape the tactics and tried to pass on my own experience. I stepped in for scrims when they needed me. Our players are developing well," said justayear, the team's coach.

Why we invest in youth development

Youth development has always been a core task at Spirit Esports. An organisation stays competitive if it can raise its own players, and that takes a coach, regular work and real stakes. Our MEAH membership gives this a framework: trainees work under a coach and test themselves in competition when the time comes.

The second division is the next step: the team now keeps learning in league matches. Congratulations, BenjyAdvice, DRM4R2I and regger4!

Loyalty · Discipline · Talent.
