The spring season brought intense challenges for our Rocket League squad. Spirit Esports went through a period of strategic restructuring, tight matchups, and a roster change. We finished 5th in the national league—a respectable position, but we know we’re capable of more.
However, our players didn’t slow down after the season ended. Their drive to improve remains strong, which is why we decided to take part in a high-level, international off-season league—to keep our performance sharp and prepare with purpose for the upcoming fall season.
GCT#4 – This Summer’s Big Challenge
The Global Championship Tournament #4 (GCT#4) is one of the most competitive and professionally organized international Rocket League tournaments of the summer. It offers structure, intensity, and quality practice for teams who don’t want to lose momentum during the break.
Tournament format highlights:
3v3 format (up to 3 starters + 3 substitutes)
1600 MMR minimum, no upper limit
19-round BO6 regular season
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw
Top 4 teams qualify directly for playoffs, while teams ranked 5th–12th fight in BO7s for a spot
Two “mercato” periods allow roster changes during the season
As of now, Spirit Esports is leading the league with 4 wins and 1 draw out of 5 matches, sitting at 13 points, with 25 goals scored and only 5 conceded. Our +20 goal difference shows just how dominant our squad has been so far.

Why Does This Matter?
This tournament is about much more than staying active. GCT#4 gives our players the opportunity to:
test new tactics,
gain valuable experience against international opponents,
and strengthen their team chemistry under pressure.
The playoffs begin August 23, featuring the top 16 teams in a BO5 and BO7 format. While there’s a €100 prize pool, for us, the real reward is the opportunity to grow as a team and refine our game for the fall season.
Growth Never Stops
At Spirit Esports, we’ve always been about building for the long term and creating value for our players. GCT#4 is another milestone on that journey—and we hope that the lessons learned here will take us to the next level both nationally and internationally.
Stay tuned—the best is yet to come!
